Hey, my name is Jesse J. Anderson, host of the ADHD Nerds podcast. The show where we talk about living with ADHD, and have some fun along the way.

Hey, welcome to the show. I wanted to tell you right off the top, I'm going to be taking a break from ADHD Nerds. I'm basically going to call the episodes I've done so far, Season One. And then now I'm going to be taking an extended break. You might be asking why Jesse, why are he taking an extended break? Well, I love doing this show. It's been so much fun interviewing all these guests.

And the show has had over 75,000 downloads, which has been amazing. People have really connected with it, which I love, but I have so much going on right now. Some of you don't know, um, you know, I have a family and I have a full-time job. So all of this, like ADHD content. This podcast, the other podcast, I do The Weekly Build, uh, the book I'm writing the social media content, the YouTube, the newsletter that I'm doing, the habit app Polar Habits that I'm working on.

All of that I'm sort of doing in my free time. And that's that's a lot of things.

And so I'm having to pick and choose a little bit this year of where to put my energy. And while I love doing this podcast, and I really love how much it's connected with people. It does take a lot of my energy like scheduling guests, and recording, and doing the editing and all of the kind of work that goes into it. It just, it does take a lot, and it's holding you back from doing some other things that I want to focus on this year.

The best way to kind of follow all the stuff I'm doing is my newsletter, which you can find at extrafocus.io.

And also you can stay subscribed to this podcast because I will be continuing this feed, when I get around to doing Season Two. Uh, so I just want to say thank you so much for being a listener and thank you even more to people that have supported me through the Patreon.

I'm also shutting that down. I've let all my current, uh, patrons know that, but I am shutting down the Patreon to kind of focus my energy and my time on some of the other things for this year.

And I encourage you to do the same. It's so easy when you have ADHD, to really just sort of like you know, I like to call it juggling chainsaws. Like you're trying to keep things interesting. So you keep adding things to do. And what often happens is eventually, everything's comes crashing down and everything just like collapses. And it's not pretty when a bunch of a chainsaws has come tumbling down at once.

So rather than letting that happen, uh, I'm trying to focus on like, what are the things that are really, that's really energizing me the most right now that are really want to lean into in saying no to some of those other things.

Even though I love it again, I love doing this podcast and I don't want it to go away forever. But right now it takes a lot of my energy. And so I'm saying no to this for now, so that I can focus on the newsletter, the apps that I'm working on, the YouTube channel, and some of those other things.

So, again, thank you so much for being a listener and, I hope to see you in Season Two.
